Ghada and Abdullah got married in a wonderful winter wedding in Bahrain on a crisp December evening. Both are from the eastern province in Saudi Arabia. Their families are friends yet they had never actually met before, so the coming together of these two was inevitable and much anticipated.
“I remember not being in the mood to socialize that evening, but my close friends insisted I go to the gathering. He was standing alone, and we initially bonded over our lack of enthusiasm. But once we started talking, we lost track of time...I remember telling my best friend later that evening, I think I’ve met my match” Ghada told me. Both had been so unaware of how that night would change the course of their lives forever.
Everyone was rooting for them from the start. Even Abdullah’s mother and Ghada have an affinity with each other as they are both doctors who volunteer in the community which is perhaps another reason why she thought Ghada would be the perfect match for her son. In fact, during the wedding Abdullah's mother, detailed in her wedding speech that she had in fact once met Ghada years previously and she had wished that her son would one day meet a girl as amazing as her. So everyone was delighted to learn of the engagement of the happy couple.
Their wedding was held at the Mövenpick Hotel, Bahrain in December 2016. There were around 100 guests all dressed in fur to keep warm on the cool winter evening. The happy couple sat at the altar adorned by beautiful bouquets of flowers from Singapore Flowers. The guests danced the night away accompanied by a local Bahraini DJ who played western and Arab music. The wedding was the perfect enchanting winter experience for the couple to start their happy lives together.
